Hi all,

just as a matter of interest how much oil do you burn in your IS 250 auto's between services as I have had to top mine up twice between 10k to 20k service .Should have taken it to Lexus by now but have been very busy and its the wifes car and as the level drops I get the dreaded 2 second rattle on start up - is there a low level oil warning light ???? if there is it must be faulty.

cheers

You should not need to be topping it up on that sort of mileage, and the age of the car.
Take it in to Lexus, Sooner rather than later.

Hi T7RY B

great looking RX. the IS in for 20k service tomorrow and its used 2.5 ltr oil over 10k - lexus service have indicated that you can burn up to .5 ltr every 600 miles (as per owners handbook ) as I said it looks like another fight with Lexus - will let you know their comments after the service.

yes I think it could be a two stroker (very green)- Lexus service are trying semi synthetic oil in place of fully synthetic.to say I am disapointed is a under statement .
