Driving along the other day and out of the blue (as it does) comes on the "Malfunction Light" oh what can this be I ask, so I take it to Lexus Stoke-on-Trent they say the "Computer Say's" Catalytic Converter or sensors :shutit: £900 fitted but not in stock.

I get in the car and drive home they must of reset the system as no light on dash, two days later it comes on again, I reset the ECU and the light stays on for 4 starts and goes off and at the moment it is staying off.

I look up GS300 Mk2 Cat on the net and I can get one for £235 not fitted.

I need some advice on what to do guys

Thanks.

I have just taken my lexus IS200se in as the malfunction light has come on the dash. Just the same as your report with the doagnostic check saying need of new cat and they do not have in stock! However, the quotation was 850.00.... No problem with power etc. Not sure which one it is as there is two?

what shall I do? Second Opinion? Cant seem to get one anywhere else any ideas?

:crybaby: I spoke too soon my light came back on this morning :shutit: :shutit: Im going to change the sensors myself one at a time, starting with one after the cat, I can get ride of the light by resetting the ECU and she still drives perfect, it must be a sensor "I hope ". :whistling:
