Things are looking good for the 2008 Time Attack series.
Looks like we have more rounds and wicked deal with Toyo tyres.
Competitors will only be allowed to use Toyo tyres in return we get them at a sub trade price.
Glad I held on as I was about to get a set at the normal price
Both Bazza and myself from LOC have applied to enter this year.
We are both as is Gord (possibly) entering the Toyota Sprint Series so will be a busy year.
I'll post up TA dates as soon as I get them

Got the stuff through for TA 2008 yesterday.
Will be 70 cars in the club challenge class !!
Looks like the format has changed.
You get a practice session of 20 minutes untimed
Then a timed 20 min session
Then a timed 20 min session where top 20 cars are selected
Then a final 20 minute session to get fastest of the day.
Must say am a tad excited about this.
Just got to see what car I'm using.

Looks like I'm not in it this year.
Have paid & been accepted.
Was reading regs last week and saw that bonnets have to be external release only.
Contacted scrutineer and there is no discretion allowed.
There is no way I'm butchering my IS350 to meet this regulation.
Have notified the TA management so will be concentrating on the Toyota Sprint series only.
Bit of a shame as IMHO club challenge should be for near normal cars on sensible budgets that are mot'd & taxed. Having to have external bonnet releases and bonnet pins seems a bit extreme but there you go

Dave could you not get another bonnet and have one for race and one for road ??? Bonnet pins only take 10 mins to put on after you've located them. Just a thought.
