I'm going to buy an GS300 JZS147 model. Already found the Repair manual, Wiring diagram manual, Wire Harness Repair Manual and some big manual (>2300 pages) but still can't find the Owner's Manual. Could anybody tell me where can I get it from?
If I can I could also get an answer on this simple questions:
- is badge colour (gold/silver) means something or it's only "body kit"? I think it means nothig.
- why one gs300es have the lexus badge on left side of the boot and others have lexus on left and gs300 on right side?
- why some have one radio antenna and others have two?
- what is the wheel and tyre size? 225/55/R16?
My second question is how reliable these cars really are? Am I going into problems if I want to buy '93/'94 gs300 (about 250k km mileage)? Now I'm running '91 Mitsubishi and it's unbelievable how solid this car is. I've done nothing except things you have to replace (timing belt and such). I crashed about 50kmh into kerb, flied into the air and replaced only a wheel. Geometry haven't changed. I've took a look on theese Lexus repair manuals and there are so many ECUs so many sensors and actuators that I'm afraid this can be problematic after 14 years. On the other hand I think it's made in Japan and designed by engineers not bookkeepers (accountants) like nowaday cars. How much do you spend ratio on repairs in your cars (annually)?
Regards and TIA for answers
ps. I'm not native English so sorry for my grammar errors
