When a car is out of it's 3 Year or 60k miles Warranty and if there is a recall, does that mean that car is not covered? or do all recall work get sorted by lexus even out of warranty?

I had a 1992 BMW 325 Coupe that had a recall for a problem on the steering coupling, it was 10 years old at that point and was done no problem. Lexus should be no different.

IIRC the recall, once approved by VOSA, lasts for a period of 10 years - to ensure it gets done, and will always be FOC.

is it me or are the recall numbers just one car of each set?? coz theres only 3 different vin's there???

That is how I read it too ...it looks like it affects 3 cars! Oh and the build End date is 29/7/05, so I assume none of the UK cars are affected? They were launched here in November 05, so I reckon they would have been made in August...???

Either way, Lexus will contact you IF your's is affected, and normally the recall will be effected at any time during a cars life, but 10 years is the minimum, and will always be free.

ya..just looked strange. must be one of the "smallest" recalls for a manufacturer
