hey guys hows it all going,

Ive gott a issue with my GS300 when braking,

What happens is when driving along everything is fine, no noises at all.
A soon as i put the brakes on it makes this grinding rough noise from the front end. It sounds like its coming from the front wheels.
At first i thought it could be warped disks but it doesnt shudder as violently as a warped disk does at speed, in fact at speed its hardly noticable.
Its got more noise at low speed. Braking distances arent affected its just this combination of this "grinding + tyre noise".

I just want the sound gone....it shouldnt be doing that right. Ive never driven any other GS' to know if it is normal.
Has anybody had this problem and fixed it.

What ive done to fix it without a cure:
- I swapped around many different brand tyres to see any difference.
- New break pads
- The front disks have been checked for warping.
- Wheel alignment is spot on.

Any help that any can give would be awsome,
Cheers Matty

i get a knocking sound, but only when the car is hot...

does the sound come once you've just jumped into the car? or is it always there?

Na it seems to be happening all the time regardless of if its hot or cold.
Im really stumped here....maybe ill just have to live with it

its not a GS but AFAIK the brake/wheel hub set up on the IS is the same........ when i have my winter tyres on the std rims I get exactly the same noise a grinding type noise when braking, when i have my summer wheels on its quiet - i have put it down to the tyres as everything else is ok.
