Richard "Milky" Quayle at the TT. (Milky because he looks like the Milky Bar Kid).
He was a fraction too close to the rock wall, clipped it with his shoulder, and his hands were wrenched from the 'bars. No place to be a passenger on your own bike

Always been told to take the hands off or "un-hook" your thumbs before you hit anything, but would you really do, it especially at that speed?
Probably saved a lot of injury having the bars forced out of his hands, one lucky man.
