Hi Everyone

I've had some bad news recently, as I managed to crash my is200 se. When taking it to Lexus Bracknell repair centre they told me that I will need new wheels.

Two of the wheels are a little scuffed. I have heard that you can get the wheels refurbished for about £60 a wheel. The guy at Lexus Bracknell told me that none of the companies that offer this service ever get Lexus is200 wheels correct, as the inside is silver, and the very exterior is polished. Hence he said I will need two new wheels @ £205 each!!

I'm just wandering if anyone has had their is200 alloys re-done, and if they come back looking ok?

Any comments anyone has would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Lexus Bracknell are my local dealers - you can't be too far from me!

I'm sure a couple of the guys on the site have had their wheels refurbished - as long as you go to a reputable company, I can't imagine there would be a lot of difference in the service.

The question on refurbing wheels has been asked here too:

Pristine in Milton Keynes has been recommended...

Pristine in Milton Keynes are highly recommended here. I think they do alot of work for Lexus already and so they should know what to do with these wheels. :)

Hi jkis200,they would say that would'nt they? thank you sir that'll be £820!!!!!! :whistling:

my mate had his refurbed a few weeks back, and they came back looking better

than original(even the inside)?so i had mine done,see gallery page(75) although

mine were powder coated and polished for the sum of £50 per wheel inc v.a.t.

There are several co's around i used LEPSONS in gillingham,(not around the corner)

have a look on thier web-site and they did them in a day?? you could use 'SPIT N POLISH'

they have a mobile service.

hope this helps,Pete :D

Hi jkis200

I used Spit and Polish to refurb my gs300 sport alloys and the service was excellent and the cost was £48.50/wheel+VAT.

I also saw some IS200 wheels that they were refurbing for Lexus Bromley and Croydon and they looked pretty good to me.

They did my sport wheels superbly in anthracite with diamond cut and laquered face. I was going to use Pristine until I was recommended Spit and Polish who were closer to me in Kent.

This is just an account of my experience.

Hope it helps.

ask them to replace your wheels under warranty, just say you are unhappy about the finish, they are likely to have some corrosion on them that way you will get some for free :D :D lexus have hundreds of these returned every few weeks from their dealer network.and some of them do go to pristine to be reworked
