From Google Translate:
As so often, it is firstly different, secondly, as you might think.

We have listened. There were suggestions the mill not to take the fate has it this way.

Suddenly occurring renovation work in the mill Winterscheider exactly to our time allows us to "emigrate" ..

We, and especially Lexus all participants in the meeting, however, have the good fortune a wonderful alternative to have found.

The meeting will take place now in

Park Hotel Nümbrecht ****

51588 Nümbrecht

We can now turn to you the same price an excellent 4-star hotel. What more could you want? Right on the main road is also an Aral filling station with soft wash!!

Especially for all interested parties, not necessarily on safety training would like to participate in this hotel is a wonderful alternative. The hotel is a sports park with tennis, squash, badminton and a 9-Ball Park Golf A special delicacies, the hotel offers for the female group, a feel-good beauty farm with all the drum and off (unfortunately not included in the price) . Also, the hotel has a swimming pool and a sauna, for the guests is free.

The atmosphere is simply beautiful, and the large paved parking lot in front of the door.

The link to the homepage can be found here www.nuembrecht.com.
I see the British participants got the message that we changed the hotel, from *** to ****. You will be satisfied, ie. with no extra cost for all of us.
See you 3 soon in Nümbrecht.

Here are some pics from the Euro Meet, it truly was an amazing experience and I had a jolly good time there, I only wished there were more members from the UK attending, but it was still great to be with Dave, Kamelia (probably wrong spelling) and Terry. Oh and did I mention we all had a ride in the ISF driven by one of the top guys from Lexus Germany, what a blast!

Would have had more pics if I didn't somehow mess up the settings on my camera, so almost every photo is blurred (think I screwed the exposure timing), but I'm sure the others will post more pics, will put a link to the Euro forum once I find the thread.

Me and Dave on the train

The main activity for the meet was a day at an ADAC driver training centre, so we were tested on skid recovery on a skid pad and a straight track where they shift a plate to lose your backend (pictured), emergency stop and a timed maneuvering course.

At the Ring, it happens to be Fiesta Ducati day (Sunday).

Just goes to show it's a small world, another Lexus from the UK parked up next to me at the paddock just before I hit the track. And yes my license plate has fallen off, all that high speed on the Autobahns and spinning round from the driving training took its toll.

Few words from me on the Euro meet weekend.

As ever it was really well organised and was nice to meet up with friends from last year as well as meet some new ones !

Our trip started off with a hiccup with Terry waiting at the services at Junction 11 while Mark, Kami & I were at the Maidstone services. We met up at dinner at the hotel !!

Our trip down was uneventful with Brussels only offering a slight delay. Major delay was on the German autobahns which were being dug up so quite slow going in places.

Having arrived and unpacked I attended to the 3493 dead flies on the front of my car.

Went to dinner and had a excellent buffet meal………..There Terry was indentified and we had a quick chat………Terry has a lovely GS430 (new type) fitted with different alloys and in lovely black………

Over dinner was told that we’d be on driver training the next day. Terry,Mark,Kami & I were in second group of cars. Was to be a 60 mile trip on a mix of country roads and autobahn.

Training took place at the ADAC (German AA) centre near Koln and took the form of a briefing on how to sit in the car (not as daft as it sounds) and then skid pan training, attempts at drifting, braking test and driving at 40mph onto a wet surface being hit sideways and having to control the resulting tail slide……….well wicked

Pics of ADAC

Best coloured IS200…….

Mark……….going wrong way !

Me going wrong way………….

We also did a autotest ….needless to say we didn’t win…………..

We then returned to the hotel, managing to loose terry again , where I was told that the head of Lexus Germany would like to see the IS350.

After showing him round the car and showing him the compressor I took him and the head salesman out for a quick spin. They were impressed with the power delivery (smoothness and ability to pull to 6500 rpm). We returned to the hotel for me,Mark & Terry to be taken out for a PROPER drive in the IS-F. Only one word Awesome. Was erring towards a GT35-R no longer……….my 350 is now for sale !. Interestingly max speed achieved was only 10 mph higher in the F to my car but the car felt so much more planted its untrue. The noise is something else………….

After that we were invited to a discussion on new developments regarding Lexus in the next few years by the head of Lexus Germany.

Looks like exciting times ahead.

New entry level model (Focus size) imminent

All ranges to have hybrid options

Diesels ………….never again

Mouse type technology instead of touch screens possible for RX series

After that we adjourned for dinner where a waiter promptly spilled 2 glasses of beer over my back…………what a waste !

More pics from the weekend

Next day we took of for Le Touquet in France for some beach time…………needless to say it was not good………high winds………….rain…………..
