Hello I am a bodyman working on a 2008 ls 460 and have replaced the trunk on this car and the auto close feature will not work anymore I am about to pull my hair out can anyone offer any ideas? This car has more electronics than the space shuttle and more options than a windows operating system seems not to reconize the motorized latch anymore is there a way to reboot the system?Thanks for any input this has been a really informative site.

Hi inside the glovebox is the trunk cancel switch , make sure that is on. Also it might be worth disconnecting the battery, leave for a couple of minutes, reconnect, then opereate the central locking on. off . You will need to re-anitialise all the windows etc after this but its easy to do.
