For a while now I've had a brake judder that I had decided to ignore, but it seems to be getting worse now. I've had the discs skimmed before but that never solved anything so I'm guessing that isn't the problem.....

What else can cause brake judder?

Also is it a bad idea to take the car somewhere like KwikFit just to have the brakes checked?

happens to me on start up(on my auto), but as soon as the car's warmed up it doesn't do it (higher revs when cold I assume means the brakes have to work harder to hold the car)

Sorry if this is a dumb question but how is this done? Is it difficult to do?

Take your pads out, if their more wedge shape than straight, then you've got a sticking caliper.

Try pushing them back as well, i one is a right **** to move then its proberly sticking.

Sticking calipers or warped discs.
Get them checked at Kwik-Fit or similar. The check is usually free
