Thers two types of the 582 bulb the old glass one and the newer wedge type ones mine has the newer wedge type bulb fitted the same as the T20/7440/582
The one on the left is the newer wedge type one and the one on the right is the old glass type? Which one did you get matey??
DJ Wozza
Feb 13 2008, 07:32 PM
The wedge type, but the bulb width was too big to go into the hole,
and was wider than the one that came out of the Stop Light.
The bulb that came out was taken to Halfords, & matched identically to the bulb I bought and then used...
955 .

Heated seat switch.. (and probably quite a few others..)
Illumination.. tiny bulb in a round plastic holder..
indicator light.. tiny bulb in a rubber "T" shaped holder..
More than likely, a dealer only option, although the bulb itself can be taken out of the holder and replaced..
I will be trying one from maplins that costs £1.09 and may just do the job.. I'll keep you posted..
John
Stop Press.......... just found some on ebay 5 for £2.79 inc delivery..

Neo - Wedge LED Instrument Panel Bulbs Type A, B & C
Thats the right type, but some are different sizes depending on the switch (strangley enough) so have a measure.
