I recently bought a 96 ls400 which is imported, it has air suspension which can adjust the ride height at the touch of a button. sound cool, but it is having problems. The front ns shock goes soft from time to time, this results in an alarming dip to the right under braking at motorway speeds, it seems to wallow. I figure that the shock has seen better days, but before spending a shedload of money is there anything else I can check, and is there someone out there who can repair or replace the shock.

Not heard of the air suspension on the 400 but on 430 the ride height sensors sometimes go. This confuses the computers. So before you replace stuff get the sensors checked - it's a cheaper fix I believe.
