CAN SOME ONE HELP PLEASE? I'VE GOT A 1999 IS200 AUTOMATIC. I NEED A NEW RADIATOR AND LEXUS HAVE TOLD ME THAT BY CHASSIS AND REG NUMBER IT NEEDS A 16MM OR 27MM. THEY NOT SURE WHY IS LISTS BOTH SIZES. DUE TO PRICE DIFFERENCE A PATTERN 16MM LOOKS CHEAPEST OPTION. CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME ON WHAT DIFFERENCE IF ANY THERE IS? OR IF 16MM WILL BE OK. (FOR INFO MY OLD RAD IS 27MM BUT LOOKS QUITE NEW SO NOT SURE IF IT ORIGINAL? MANY THANKS

My radiator has gone recently (leaking badly) so I decided to have it changed. Got a 16m core from plaza part ltd for £120 (they sell on ebay) and tried to fit it only find out that the thermo stat switch (the one on the radiator) is different size to the one on the 16mm core. Phone lexus customer service they said there are 2 types for the 2000 (W reg) namely 16 or 27mm core (both ~£260). Does the core of 1999-2001 models of is200 different to the 2002 onward? but I am sure the thermo switch surely different (between both). To have the 16mm fitted the switch needs to be replace?
