Is there a way to stop the woman living in my dashboard telling me where to go via a simple key press? Many a time I've wanted to press a "Shut Up" button when there's been something interesting on the news or someone's calling me. On my IS200 I would have had to find the "Suspend Guidance" button, but I'm blowed if I can find the same on my IS250's. Should I spend the weekend reading the manual or petition Lexus for a "STFU" button!

Or you can can use the voice recognition and say - "SUSPEND GUIDANCE"

or hit the MENU then touch SUSPEND GUIDANCE

Would you be able to reprogram my sat nav to replace the voice command "SUSPEND GUIDANCE" with "SHUT IT YOU TART"?

Verbal 'Suspend Guidance' works for me...'Resume Guidance' when you want to hear 'her' again.. I've tried being verbally abusive and all I've got to say is whoever programmed the software has a sense of humour....'Fxxx off' was answered with 'showing all airport icons' ...

Whenever I swear it says "Showing Chinese restaurants". That is one good sense of humour...

I've seen the list of voice commands in the US manual and there is a display grocery store option. Does the sat nav show supermarkets like Asda, Tescos etc ? My missus is asking me honest

Also does it show chain restaurants like Nandos and TGI Fridays etc ?

If you say "I'm hungry" it shows restaurants. If you say "Fast food" its shows fast food places. Not very many but could be an area thing.

ASDA works with POI, but not sure on voice.

Does that mean you still can't turn the volume down by just turning the knob so it still keeps navigating silently?

At least on mine it's not connected to the radio so it makes sense, but I thought the all in one type units should be able to do that.........
