Hi changing the rear wheel bearing is a nightmare job!!! .I did this on my mark 2 about 4yrs ago,the problems incountered were
bearing inside is pushed onto the stub axcle this had come lose and spun round causing the stub to wear badly.
Bearing outer is pressed into the rear hub this is a pain to remove and no only that theres a bush on the rear hub that will be knackered.Lexus dont sell just the bush so a new hub might be needed this was at the time £137+vat.
As i own and engineering business i solved these problems by welding some beeds of welding along the lenght of the stub axcle and regrinding it to be a press fit on the new bearing.hacksawing the old bush out of the hub i then modified a ford cortina mk4(£3.60)void bush to to suit the hub.
I really can see why lexus want best part of a grand for changing a wheel bearing and a hub.

i hope this helps in some way
Andy

it is one of the best toys i have bought i dont use it much at the mo but will do when it gets sunny but they are the best cars to have fun in as you get the looks i will not post the site name just incase i get told off but if you google pontiac owners club uk you will find the poc site i am on there every night and it tells you all you need to know

i thought that it was going to be a dear thing to own but the insurance is a lot cheaper then the ls400 and bits are cheaper and easyer to get hold of if you want one let me know as there is always some for sale on the poc site
theres mine last week after i played with the sitickers

Mat
Wow that looks hot!!!! I love the fact you said 'cheaper' lol cos these ls are bloody expensive haha!!!

but going to put the ls back on ebay tonight see it as spares or repairs 95 400 as it has to go i need the money and the space

but i will get another one as its been the best car i have ever owned such a nice drive and quite and good for the golf clubs
