when i look on this site
http://www.carsparkplugs.com/sp_cat/sp_cat.cgiit gives me two different sets of plugs for the ucf20 engine. my car is registered in early 97 but i'm not sure when it was manufactured. the sites state the plugs changed on 08/96. so in theory that could be my car.
does it really matter which plugs out of the choice of 8 on that site i use?

Your car was built before 8/96 if its the one in your avatar picture.
www.sparkplugs.co.uk The part is NGK part number BKR6EP8 at £8.39 per plug.
If you don't mind importing from the USA, use this company:
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php . I've used them in the past and they are excellent. Select your year and car in the online catalogue and they'll list the parts they have in stock that are suitable. They're selling Bosch Platinum (FR8DCX) plugs for $1.66 each, thats about 90p. 8 of these plugs including 48hr delivery to the UK comes to $40.38 or about £22. I now refuse to buy parts in rip-off Britain.
