I have a '91 LS400 with air suspesion. The compressor has gone out and the car is slammed. Is there a way to manually raise the vehicle? How easy is it to replace the compressor?

Am I better off retrofitting with coil spring conversion?

Does anyone know where I can find a manual?

Many Thanks.

Hi

Don't think any UK spec cars of that age had air suspension fitted, you have probably got an Import.

I would think it would be cheaper to fit four coil springs to it than try to fix the air suspension, there are loads being broken on ebay, i'd take pics of your set up and go and look at a standard one to make sure you get the right bits, may need spring seats and retainers etc.

Good luck

I know you can buy remanufactured air struts over there (from Arnott Industries), so perhaps compressors are also available.
