Hi, guys. When I got my LS400 last summer, the cd wouldn't work and I could not even open it!
I didn't fancy the cost of replacing it,so just listened to the radio.
I then read about fm transmitters, so I got one from Halfords for 25 quid, and a 2gb usb key from
Argos (£16).
They are pretty good, I got over 4 hours mp3/wma songs on it, and it's about 1/4 full.
When I leave the car, I take it out of the cigar lighter and pop it in the centre armrest.
Just food for thought.
Regards all, Pete.

I wasn't satisified at all when I tried a radio transmitter, it ended up in the bin quite soon.
One of the best features of the LS400 is that it has a decent stereo. Do you know how much it would cost to fix? Or maybe rip it out and put in an iPod adaptor.

I like to have a large selection of music in my car and tried using an FM transmitter with my ipod through the Lexus stereo but was very disappointed with the quality.
I've since changed to a cassette tape adapter connected to my ipod and the quality is much better. I did not really want to replace the standard stereo as I think it makes the interior look classier than an after market unit.
