Full Version: Dynamic Handling Kit

I've recently bought a 2000 LS400 mark 4 which has the Pirelli P Zero Assimetrico 245/50/17y tyres and the factory fit dynamic handling kit.... I'm finding the ride very harsh and noisy in a car that I otherwise think is brilliant!
Can anyone give me any ideas on how I can overcome the ride and / or noise issues and any idea what the cost of doing this would be!
Also, can anyone elaborate on what the dynamic handling kit includes (I assume the suspension is different or tuned?).
Many thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the forum

cars fitted with the DHP are much harder than standard, it has been discussed on here before at length about the poor comfort, do a search on Dynamic Handling Pack and you will find more info, basically it was wheel/tyres lower springs and body coloured grille.

If you want to return it to standard then 4 new springs and 16" wheels with standard tyres, when buying tyres search threads again for quiet tyres as that has been discussed on here more than just about anything, personally I'd stick with the Japan made Dunlop D8's but others have different views....

Good Luck

Hi, topic covered many times. Try this first here and then search the forums. Just fitted new Continentals 235/45/17 and am very impressed.Remember that no matter what the car is, they will all sound a bit rough on our ever deteriorating roads.
Enjoy your new car. Graham.
