Does anyone have any pics of were they put the ballasts for their HID Ballasts?

I'm thinking of getting some but not quite sure where they should be fixed to :duh:

i fitted 2 sets of ballasts (dipped and fogs) under the lights to the chassie rails behind the bumper
thay are in the same space as the fog lights and washere bottle
you will need to take the bumper to get to this area tho !

directly behind the lights on the arch - even a mounting point there

Nice pics from our friend from Sweden,
in the top pic, the black block with a large white sticky pad is where my ballast is on that side,
(on the bulkhead) but on the lower picture I put the ballast against the vertical space on the bulkhead
where the white cable is looped from the ballast (top part of the loop), not on the black plastic cover.

I hope this makes sense :winky:

thx IRLRs200!

Do you have any problems with heat at the HID's with that ballast next to the intake?

and what pads did you use? ones that came with the unit or did you buy some?

How long have they been fitted? I assume you haven't had to check to see if they haven't escaped :)

No problems with heat what so ever. The HIDS are only 35W so the dont burn as hot as normal bulbs. They came with mounting brackets and sticky pads. They were fitted by previous owner so they have been on the car for ages with no problems

No problems with heat what so ever. The HIDS are only 35W so the dont burn as hot as normal bulbs. First of all, you must get yourself equipped with the item you need for the installation of the HID ballasts. They are the screwdriver, pliers, strippers, nuts and bolds and a metal halide lamp base.
