Well mate
is your radio the black 6 disc cd unit with tape deck and amber screen??
if so how much you want for it and would you be willing to post to ireland (south)
have you got the radio code aswell??
sparkystav
They dont have security codes mate.

What you have to check though is that the little 5 digit number on the front is the same as your old one to be sure it fits.

The number can be found by the cassette slot. It must be the same number as the unit it replaces.

Yes it is just like that. They seem to go on ebay for around £120-150, looking at postage its probly gonna be about £20-25 to get it posted with some insurance so id take £150 including postage to the republic.

Il get the 5 digit code off the front. But let me know the year and model spec of your IS and that should give us a good idea.

I think it was Fidgits who had his replaced with with a unit of a later model (different number) so you might want to ask him.

I think it is that the cd must be in the same place on the unit.
very early models (pre late 2000) had the cd at the bottom of the unit.

This I can't confirm or deny.

My info is based on Plug & Play. If the numbers as mentioned above do not directly match it will not work.

I would suggest that most LOC members would probably leave the Multi-Meter and Soldering Iron approch
unless confident of their own abilities in this area. ohmy.gif

I dont think the numbers have to match i replaced mine (02) car with one from a (04) the numbers were different and the new cd player was all black compared to mine which looked like the one above as long as the cd is in the same place you should be ok

Well imo thats a first, but if it worked for you maybe the Dealers and other members are wrong.
