Lexus...and lovin it!
I recently took purchase of a mint 1999 {t-plate} IS 200 with only 43000 miles on the clock, the batt was disconected and on reconnection the voice activated sat nav system displayed 'set cd rom'.
I removed the cd rom and retried it with the message 'check original cd rom'?
Have enquired Lexus tech support who didnt seem to know much about it but suggested removing all plugs at unit {in boot r/h side}, wait 1/2 hr and try again-to no benifitl
Any ideas..and any one who would let me look at sat nav manual?
many thanks fellow Lexus Lovers

Welcome.

99(T), 43k & bought with battery disconnected- a bit unusual.

A statement of the obvious, but have you checked the CD in the unit? If the previous owner had updated the disc, someone could have swapped it for one that doesn't fit. Take it out and check the number on the disc. There are loads of posts her on sat nav - try a search, if you've not done so already.

Good luck,

Ian
