I have had these a little over 1 year now and have been an excellent combo. In my previous car they hit 137.9 db!!

IMO this is one of the best combos in its price range and not only gives excellent ground shaking bass, but controlled and clean bass. They have been loving cared for and are as new.
I also have a custom built bass port that may be made redundant by the new install so i can throw that in too. It seals the bass frpm the sub through the ski hatch so no bass is lost into the boot.. it has subtle red led lighting to accent the red carpeting in the box..

Very good quality equipment.
More than a tad on the expensive side for secondhand IMO though even for JL Audio.

May I enquire as to what you are replacing it all with ?
12W7 or 13W7 and maybe a 1000/1 ?
I have a 300/4 for the components & 6x9's, what an amp.

not expensive at all considering its as all new! its open to offers so we shall see what comes.. if not sold then i will put it in our other car or just use 2 x 500/1's..
the 500/1 is going to become difficult amp to get hold of soon..

gotta see what we can get in there and still have boot space!! did you lose your spare wheel when you put your new sub box in??

Why is that ? I believe it is just the 500/1v2 now.


I did but not as a consequence of my sub box. It's the rest of the boot build
and the difficulty in getting under the Boots new false floor.

However I may at some point in the future re-do the base board with a hinged panel,
but no time during fitment to change Mr.Singh's original design on the fly as it were.

I modified my original post as you were replying, what are you going to use to
power the internal speakers ?

the v2 stuff isnt anywhere near as good as the v1. if you want more info will have to PM

im having similar thoughts about spare wheel.. maybe we should compare notes!!

as for power.. poss 1000/1 or 2 x 500/1 for subs, still weighing up options..
will continue with 300/4 for fronts.. cant be beaten in its price range.. definately a goo dmove you made there.. now you moving into real quality!! you may want to consider changing the alpines mate.. you wil notice a big diff!!

As you can see, a lot of work has to be done to make the spare accessable again.

ok, so this will all be out of the car at the weekend..

the amp rack will be included and can also throw in the power wiring and dist blocks sufficient for two amps (all v good quality) and the power cap.

can possibly deliver dep on distance or im happy to install at my place.

it really is a fine bit of kit and sounds great in the lex.. will be going mid august if no interest..
