Can anyone help. I recently purchased a 07 GS450H when I am stopped in traffic sometime the battery seems to cause a shudder in the car. anyone having a same problem

In my Rx400h I sometime notice a slight vibration as the engine stops and starts in slow traffic when the engine is cold. This soon disappears once the engine is warm however. Is this what you are noticing ?

When I was test driving this model I noticed an occasional shudder when the engine cut out on the car I was driving, when I asked Lexus they said its just where the engine is in its cycle when it cuts out.
However this is not something realy apparent on my own car. So it would seem it varies from car to car.

It is usally at the start of the journey a slight shudder. I will bring it up with Lexus when I am getting the car serviced. Thanks for the help

Mine doesn't "shudder" but just occasionally I can tell when the petrol engine turns off and on. But it's not intrusive at all, so it may or may not be the same thing you're experiencing.

What's scarier is the times I've had pedestrians step out without looking if I'm going along really slow through the middle of town, or in car parks when the car goes into stealth mode. Fortunately so far I'm going slow enough for a quick push on the brakes to solve the problem. Followed, of course, by a big beaming grin when the poor shocked person spots this bloody great car next to them.
