If you can find an alternator repair place take it in an ask if they can fit a higher ampage regulator to the original as when i used to build alternators and starters for Lucas Automotive i used to do it to most of the cars that i've owned with big stereos or loads of lights a lot easier than trying to match up a different alternator to the car?
