Hey guys and gals,
Can anyone give me a straight forward answer as to what strut braces do? I know they look good, but are they purely aesthetic or functional as well?
Cheers.

Hi there,
Strut braces are functional. They provide a link between the suspension turrets (either front or rear) and provide a bracing between them, thus reducing flex.

But their less useful on a rear wheel drive car than front wheel.
ARB's do a lot better job for RWD.

erm they do the same job regardless of which end the wheels are driven, they reduce the twist between the front suspension turrets
they reduce the chassis twist ahead and behind the front and rear bulkheads, under cornering
