Hi guys

How do the discs secure onto the Hub? I fitted new discs (Mintex) a few months back but the disc on one side does not sit tight onto the hub. So when the pads grip the disc i can hear a knockin noise as the disc moves a fraction and hits agains the studs.
I on my old vauxhall the hub had a tapped hole that a retaining bolt would hold the disc onto the hub. There doesnt seem to be anything like this on my is200.

Is it because im not using genuine toyota parts that its not fitting tight?

Cheers guys

they are clamped to the hub by the fact you have tightened up your wheel nuts

Yup, as weird as it sounds, they are not locked on by anything other than your wheel. If you can hear them shifting when driving, you have bigger things to worry about like at what point you are going to see your wheel overtaking you. tomato.gif
Rob
more likely you are hearing the pads moving in the caliper
