Hi All

Im looking at buying a Lexus IS200 Sport, i just need the basics to look out for when going to look at examples?

I also wanted to know what i can get for around £5.5k to £6k, im guessing by looking on autotrader a 2000 to 2001 example with around 80k on the clock.

Ive picked up a few things so far that basically the car is not the quickest out of the blocks, but once you hit 60 its acceleration is rapid.

Also that its a bit juicy for a commute (mines around 20miles), so im guessing 30mpg isnt realistic.

I wouldnt mind some general information on all of the above, im thinking, find a decent example, slight mods like an induction kit and sports exhaust, keep it minimal and look after the splendid example.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

Welcome to LOC mate,

I suggest you read the knowledgbase section for the IS200, basically it is a 'what to look for when buying a IS200' page- gives you hints/tips.

There's lot of add on's you can buy for the IS200, like exhausts etc, other members will also offer their advise on modding.
