Hi all,

I've not been on here for a few years. I sold my Lexus GS300 Sport in 2004 and bought a Mercedes C270 CDI. I'm ready to part company and have looked at several options. BMW 330d Coupe, Jag XF, BMW 5 series but have not really thought too much about the IS250 until I had a look on this forum. I've booked a test drive.

I have a few questions if you'd be so kind to answer them. I've had a search around and found some answers but not complete ones so....

1) Does the Multimedia package give voice control ?

2) Will it support full iPod integration (ie track names, artists display on screen) ?

3) Is the cruise control adaptive by sttandard or is that an option ?

4) Does the parking monitor come with the multimedia package ?

5) Is there a complete spec list somewhere with all the options ?

1) Yes
2) I believe so if you purchase the iPod kit, PM Tango on here about it as I think he has it.
3) The adaptive cruise is an option
4) Yes

It'll be an auto. Another question - paddles as standard on steering wheel ?

Unless I'm being thick all I can see for options is Multimedia pack. The site also doesn't let you "build your vehicle" like other makes. Have I missed something here ?

Yes...it isn't a BMW laugh.gif The multimedia pack http://www.lexus.co.uk/range/is/key-featur...media-pack.aspx

Once you take the time to navigate the site you'll find it's all there... whistling.gif Model selection dictates some features e.g. SE-L has HID, adaptive front-lighting, memory seats, dipping door mirrors for reversing etc.
Model selection...IS 220d/IS220d SE/IS220d SE-L/IS220d Sport,(all manual gearbox), IS250/IS250 SE/IS250 SE-L/IS250 Sport (all available in manual or auto) and then the IS-F which is something else altogether...V8 and auto only.
The flappy paddles are standard on all auto's, including the IS-F (they just change gear faster on this one).
Probably the only thing that isn't on the Lexus GB site is the Lexus iPod integration kit, it's a dealer fit option...a unit that plugs into the existing system allowing basic iPod control from the steering wheel controls and touch screen, the iPod sits in the glovebox. The only downside is having to use playlists to sort out your sounds..there's an unlimited number so in theory you could make each album a playlist, but I've just categorised my 1600 or so tracks into 'Rock', 'Metal', 'Classical', 'Blues', 'Alternative', 'Electronic' etc. The track title and other info comes up on the screen as you select from the playlists.

Once you've selected the model and whether you want the all embracing MM pack the options after are relatively limited...Metallic/Mica Paint,Moonroof, Adaptive cruise control, 18" Hoshi or Baransu Alloy Wheels, and Rear in-car entertainment.

Welcome back. Most of your questions answered above. Paddles as standard with auto plus you can do it from the stick. Only real options are model, thwn as above ( you find this in prices ).
GaryC
Cheers for your help.

No it's all there mate, just click on "Vehicle prices and Finance Quotation" and it brings up a drop down of all the possible models - then you can click to add or remove the options you want smile.gif
