Before:

After:

I know its been done many times before but for £30 all in (with Lexus OC discount) its an absolute bargain.

Also ordered some Fan Washer Jets for £20 (although i ordered them in the later dark blue as they dont do them in Royal Saphire, but shouldnt notice.)

Some new pics

'The satins'

and with the missus' new car

like the darker model rear clusters! sports grill should be the first mod for ANY new IS200 owner laugh.gif

The ST's not bad either, thought you'd have gone for the blue woth white stripes to keep the theme running on the drive.
loggyboy
Well theres no way im having white stripes on the IS or the nova! lol
corsavandal
laugh.gif I meant with the Fiesta not the IS200. I think the only reason the ST pulls it off is because of the vinyl's along the side sill's. Otherwise leave Viper stripes on the Viper, and maybe Mustang's.
spikes
looks very nice smile.gif
and you number plate
DJ Wozza
A bit chav with the dodgy number plate, otherwise looks good with the sport grille & satin lights.
Its's also the best colour blue available for the IS200 IMO.

The fan washer jets are an excellent upgrade btw.
loggyboy
'Dodgy'!?

ive not been pulled for it yet, so its not that dodgy!
DJ Wozza
By 'Dodgy' I mean incorrectly spaced to look like a name/slogan etc. You are unlikely to get pulled for it
if the rear is correctly spaced and only the front is altered, but if you get pulled for speeding etc it may well get
picked up as something else they can try & book you on megangry.gif.

I know Sparkystav & Johnboy have both had warnings about their plates and had to change them back.
Also M.O.T stations have recently had a directive about number plate spacing at test time due to to many
people mis-representing their number plates....whistling.gif

Thats correct mate.

If they pull you and you dont change them. Then they catch you again, the DVLA will take it off you.

So you'll still own it but you cant put it on a vehicle so thats a very nice and expensive wall hanging.

I think it has to be a fairly serious offence for the DVLA to remove the rights to use it. like misrepreenting letters, not just a 22mm spacing 'error'.

If the DVLA started being that padantic then theyd sell alot less registrations, and not make the fortune that they do.

Im not arguing thats its not technically correct, but in the big scheme of things its not serious.
It would have to a fluke of small chances to go that far. Such as, a copper smart enough to know its wrong (sounds stupid, but youd be suprised how many dont understand the laws they are attempting to inforce!) then it would need to be one who was in a bad enough mood (or bored enough) to pull me for it, THEN he would have to be even more grumpy/bored to give me an official VDR so i have to get it stamped to show its been sorted. THEN that same copper see me again after i swap them back and get arsey again! Then the dvla would have to step in. Pretty slim you have to agree!
Mr Mole
Well its not as though the Police are busy catchin Crims
they only have time to pick on us Cash Cows er I mean motorists
So your chances are very high megangry.gif
loggyboy
My mum, dad & gf all have personal plates with minor 'amendments' - and over the 5+ years they all had them theyve never even had a raised eyebrow, down to luck i would guess, but for now i have no plans to change it.

I'm afraid your not entirely right, you dont need to be given a VDR just a fixed penalty and they report it to the DVLA, two reports and its gone.

AND pc plod are currently cracking down on it cause of the new MOT rules. just cause it hasnt happened yet doesnt mean it wont.

Gotta be the first person who does!

I tested an ST (for my girlfriend) a while back, it did go like a bloody go cart! Quicker than the Lex too i suppose? !!!
(I got her a £300 escort in the end, which was for the best as we split up 3 months later!)
Anees
Looking good.

Unfortunetly..........your plate is illegal, but as you say it seems to be down to luck.
Gord recently got a fine and reported to the DVLA just for miss-spacing, I have also had a fine and been ordered to change them (again for misspacing letters).

While you are getting away with it, I'd leave it and then if you get pulled by a copper having a bad day get it changed smile.gif

Yes and no, its obviously quicker from the line, but once you up in to the higher gears the ST runs out ratio (typical close ratios for a hot hatch) to the point when sitting at 70 im hankering for an extra gear. Its the same in the Nova!
Also not really had a fair test between the two, especially as she isnt has confident with the quick changes and reving the nuts off the ST as i am in the IS.
