Hi, Im on the verge of buying a is200 (2001/2002). it has in car sat nav. i'd really like to be able to use the screen as a dvd player. how is this possible? i am quite good at fitting stereos and stuff so im hoping i will be able to do it myself.

but what kit do i need? where can i get it from? how much does it cost?

i have looked around on google and searched this forum but cannot see anything related.

There is a thread about putting an aftermarket Sat-Nav in the Lexus housing,
it's a good place to start researching. Then get yourself a nice LCD screen and off you go !!

not easily done if you want to use the oem system.

there are w few places that will do it but costs over £500..

i am trialing another system that will be less than half that and include a built in TV tuner but is taking a while to get it shipped over and test fully..

by far the easiest option is to remove the oem screen and add your own in its place. the oem sat nav isnt the best either..
