Problem undoing the nut, or removing the pulley once the nut is loose?

There is a Toyota service tool to lock the crank while you heave on the breaker bar, but it was about 110 quid last time I saw a price. There's a similar tool on US eBay for about 60 dollars.
Don't use a torch on the nut unless you intend to replace the harmonic damper.
In the absence of an air impact gun, people have resorted to disabling the ignition, jamming the breaker bar against something solid, and using the starter motor.

I use a 5 ft breaker bar and lock the Crank via the flex plate access hole at the bottom of the gearbox.
Also you need a Pully extractor to get the pully off.
