Hello Chris hope you had a good night mate biggrin.gif

It does sound like one of the sensors as there quite sensitive to knocks and bangs? sad.gif
Rob's Lexx
if has been removed it may not have been re-attached???

just a thought, could be something that simple mate...
CIJ
Cheers Chris, is there any way to tell which one, and the all important question.....how much to fix??????????

Yeah it was a good nite.....cant remember quite a bit of it.....mmmmmm jack daniels!!!!!

Dont think they'll of removed it but hes havin another look glare.gif
Rob
they need to remove it to do the suspension properly, but sounds like they have damaged one of the wires - think they are about 120 pounds each.
u need to pull the fault code to see which one.
CIJ
Cheers rob, 120quid....this coilover change is gettin bloody expensive, the TRC light is also flashing, does this happen when there really damaged?

Also with that flashing does it mean that the traction control is on or off??

Thankyou
black 300sport
TRC light on or flashing is telling you it is not working.Like the other chap said, get it checked for codes and that will give you the answer to what is going on,if you are in luck he may of just left the plug lose or off!!!!
CIJ
Rob, can i ask how you 'pull' up the codes? Im guessing that it aint by the OBI11 reader. Will my local garage be able to get these codes?

Cheers

Thats odd, have you tryed re-setting your ecu ?
CIJ
Not yet, the only thing it picks up is the prob with the manifold in bank 2, but ive had the manifold welded up and it sounds sweet as now but still got the light unsure.gif
sparkystav
Could the sensor in that manifold not be knackered?

Brand new mate, the car runs fine too huh.gif and the light comes and goes as it pleases haha!!

Well ive been up to my mates at the garage, and had the computer plugged in to pull the faults and it cant find it!! Then one of the lads nipped out to get his 'snap on' one and it couldnt find my car ohmy.gif so there gonna have to test the resistance of each sensor, what i wanna know is what is the reading of a good one? Also where will they pick the wire ends up from?

Cheers

It should bring up your fault that is making you light come on Chris, including your ABS sensor, if thats at fault ohmy.gif
It saying something if the snap on code reader dont even know your car, it must be well out of date ohmy.gif
Rob
http://www.bahamutcars.com/workshop/IS_98-...ents/index.html the lex workshop manual there is a big section on the ABS.

The code reader looked brand new!! I mean it was theys personal one, so it may not have been loaded with all the cars....i dont know?
What else could be bringing up the ABS light? I did mention that the TRC light flashes too, does this mean its a rear sensor or could be any of them?

Chris, it could be any, re the code reader, it the level of software you buy that counts, I know Steve has just payed £8000 for his new one, his old one that i took to the meet was £5000 biggrin.gif

Ps, just seen you 1st post, if the light was not on before he did the work ? then i would say he has done while working on your car, Adie had the same problem when someone changed his too ohmy.gif
CIJ
Yeah its been done whilst the car was in!! Gutted is an understatement!!
Its a bit of a shame that they do the scans for free for me and anywhere else wants paying....but the computer they used before brought up the engine fault!?
