Hi,

I just checked my ECU and it says "3SGE M/T" on it. Does the M/T stand for manual transmission, if so i don't understan how my car is working because to my understanding the manual's and auto's have different ECU's.

Can somebody enlighten me please.

Regards

hi,yes M/T is a manual tran's, 3SGE is the eng used, and yes u can uses both types ,but the ECU will not read the auto faults,if u have a fault. cool.gif

Really??? I always thoought you had to have the right ecu in for the appropriate transmission. I can understand how a Manual ecu can control an auto box???
Noel
Thats not right...

that means all the wires going into the C Block connector are going nowhere...

i have a picture somewhere... back in a minute wink.gif

That part number is for the 5AT ECU.

Part number for the 6MT ECU is 89661-53151, there is an alternative number for the 6MT ECU post 2001 that has not been through ESVA.

Ok guys,

Just to make sure, my ecu is the correct one for my auto/tip transmission???

If so, preliminary WOOOHOOO

P.s can i ask why it says M/T on it?

I'm guessing that you can tell if your auto box is working?? If so, then even if it is the wrong ECU, it proves the car works with the wrong one as Terry said, or am I missing something? Even though the part number seems to indicate it is the right one anyway.

See my attached picture up above? remove the cover on your ecu and see if you have "C block" connected...

hi,your ECU is the some, some jack plug, but has ,oil temp, oil level, auto start, vacuum switch, these wires will be conected, but not in the ECU.The only thing to check ,if your HP is the some, because i think the auto has a bit more.the ECU put in a little more fuel on the auto, but i don't think it would be.IT WORKING,don't fix, what not broke. cool.gif
