is there any way to remove the passenger's air bag on a gs300 mark 1 with out it going off as i want to fit a lcd screen and dvd player in its place

Its quite easy to remove. Just make sure you disconnect your battery.
The problem you will have is that your warning light will stay on on your dash board and it may affect the operation of the other bag. Not a recomended modification but its your choice.

Check with your insurance company as you will be removing a safety device!!!!!!!! i.e. no payout in the event of an accident?
