is there any induction kits that people on here would suggest,
would like a nice sound from the v6. Seen a few on the net but
would like some advice from people with experience, thanx
sparkystav
Well first i'd get the engine checked cause the IS has a straight 6. lol

But Prolex Uk do a nice induction kit for the IS200 but a drop in K&N filter can be just as good.

oh yeh, where did i get v6 from lol. Would the kit make much of a difference
in sound or would it be better if i put an after market exaust on aswell as all
still standard, and what have you and other people got
thank

I used to have an induction kit and exhaust and i was happy with it. (got a charger now so its a different kettle of fish)

For noise though the best thing i'd say is an Exhaust.

i've got a pipercross induction kit fitted to mine at the moment which is ok but still like the K&N Filter better as i think if your going to go for the induction kit you really need to put in a cold air feed to it to get the benefit from it which is what i'll be doing to mine next? biggrin.gif

i have a K@N panel filter in mine difference noticed =none
if you want noise go for the exhaust, iv seen it on here that power flow are no good for the is200 WELL i say poppy cook!! to that i have power flow from the cat back, large bore pipe no centre box, then into back box and the sound is awesome more so in a built up area, but it can be a pain in the bottom on a long run

I got a Prolex kit with home made heat shield and ducting.

I got some pics around somewhere, if i cant find them i shall get new tomorrow.

Very happy with the kit, its pretty quiet but if you know what to listen for its there msn-wink.gif but the Kazama has got louder so that dont help.

Fitted K&N panel filter a few weeks back and it's defo better, seems to be smoother and pick up a little quicker bit more of a growl from the engine aswell, not a massive difference but well worth just shy of 40quid, did notice tho slightly better MPG got an extra 10 miles out of 20quid so worth it just for that IMHO. If it's noise your after tho then exhaust is best way to go smile.gif
