I have been offered a quote to rewind a duff alternator.
I don't know how much yet but a direct deal with the rewinder might be cheaper than going through a dealer.
Anyone know anything?
Cambridge area might be more convenient but not essential.

a lot of faults with alternators is that the brushes and or the regulator-rectifier gives up.i fitted one to a reno laguna last week at a cost of £35.a good auto electrition should be able to check it out .cheers

i think i payed about £40 for my one to be reconed after the power steering fuild did its bit lol
