Just a quick question that hopefully has a quick answer, I'm driving a 2000 reg IS200 SE. Does this have a Limited Slip Differential fitted? I know the Sport does, what about the Sport Executive?
aido
I don't think you'll have one as I'm sure it was just the sports, I've prob got this wrong but I think you can test by getting the car on a ramp and trying to spin the rear wheels in an opposite direction - I don't think you can do that with an LSD
aido
ps I'd remove your vin due to fraud nowadays!

It didn't have a limited slip differential, or the Sport tints. Apart from that I believe the Special Edition had everything else the Sport had, including the leather and Alcantara suede seats. The only real difference was it had the Satnav as a standard fitment instead of an extra cost option. Isn't it one insurance group lower than the Sport?

correct. The IS200 Sport, IS200 Limited Edition and IS200 Sportcross are all 13E. All other IS200 models (including the SE) are rated as 12E.

Interestingly, the new IS250 SE and IS250 Sport are both rated at 14E.
Y2Kanjar
why do i feel i should have bought the SE and not the Sport
Carles
See the vin plate, where say "axle" appear 4 digits, A02A or A02B, "A" it's open and "B" it's LSD. Good luck!
