Hi guys all a bit new to this IS stuff, had the car about 2 weeks but love it.
Question?
if you slow down on the motorway to about 40 50 if the traffic is heavy, when you thottle back on and off to keep up with the traffic you get a really small delay in drive take up and a very slight feeling on a loose engine mount but not as bad as that.
Is this normal in rearwheel drives as ive not owened one before beacause of the propshaft?
same when your going over speed ramps hard to get a smooth throttle take up when hardly moving?
any ideas?

2 reasons
1. the throttle is"fly by wire" so at low speeds its a little to un-sensitive
2. transmission slap, the motion of the transmission taking up slck, on the bearings, and slip joints/uj

Mine does this which is normall on a rear wheel drive and I think probably more noticable on the IS200 cos it is generally so smooth. Seems more noticable in 6th gear.

thanks guys, it is more noticable in 6th.
Reagarding the fly-by-wire, my car has a normal accelerator cable, does this mean its only the newer cars are like this.
mines a 99.so therefore dosn`t apply?

nope, th accelerator pedal cable, is a get you home device.
if the fly-by-wire fails there is still a cable to work the throttle
