I'm looking to replace the stock casette/radio deck with a custom cd reciever, but I need a custom adapter to fit a reguler cd reciever into the custom shape of the pioneer stock system. I've looked around and could only find a 92-96 fitting, i was told that this would work with a 97 but am not sure, anyone else upgraded their radio?

Are you talking about replacing your stereo. Bcos even i need to replace mine as i think i fried the radio's circuit. mine is 92 es300. where did u find the adapter for the stereo ???

the mounting kit is from a company called metra in the U.S.
it only hold the radio int eh oversized space
the amp for the radio is located under the passenger seat
try getting an amp first to fix it
what is wrong with yours
also check all teh fuses including teh ones int eh engien bay not just under the dash
