Got a 56 plate IS250 Sport... Just started to notice that my wing mirrors seem to be very temperamental, sometimes they angle down when i put it into reverse, sometimes one does and the other just moves very slightly, sometime they both move a bit but not all the way, and they also seem not to go back to their original position properly...

It doesnt matter whether I have the adjust button set to the L or R, just seems to have a mind of its own...

Very frustrating!!! Anyone else experienced this issue???

Service is up in November (20k), but if it persists I might have to take a trip to the stealers sooner... Also need to get the alloys replaced as they are slightly bubbling / top layer bit is peeling!

Think adjust button should be in the middle to get them dipping. They should return to same view.

No, it's got to be switched to one side or the other...if you leave the switch in the middle they will not dip at all.

My old IS250 Sport had the same problem after about 40,000 miles and the dealer changed the mirror under warranty. They claimed that the motor was knackered and irrepairable. If youre car is still under warranty, get the guys to get a replacement.
