Guys,
Saw this thread when it first popped up.

Is is something along these lines?

I am talking about the front indicater lenses they have a yellow look that i would like to make clear. i also want to do the side repeaters like grims post suggests but would like to do fronts first.jac114 the side lenses just clip out put a screwdriver on a peice of cloth or several peices of paper to protect bodywork and prise out indicater.

Jac, the ones in Grim's post will not fit your car, they are for the US spec GS's which have the side light in front of the wheel arch and are larger. European lights are more square and are fitted behind the front wheel arch.
So be careful!
Mudzs,
Is the yellow you can see when you look into the lens coming from the bulb? If it is you can swap the bulb for a silver one which flashes orange. That will make them appear clear.
If their is a orange lens in there it may be possible to break it up through the bulb hole and remove. Then fit the silver bulbs in which flash orange?
Just a thought?

Has anyone gone the other way, and replaced the indicators on the UK model GS300 Mk1 with the more orange unit that you see on US cars? Can you get replacements? I quite like them.
Andrew.

HI MUDZS
JUST TO LET YOU KNOW IF YOU TAKE YOU TIME WITH A PAIR OF LONG NOSE PLYERS AND WIRE CUTTERS YOU CAN BREAK THE ORANGE REFLECTOR UP INSIDE THROUGH THE BULB SOCKET. IT TOOK ME ABOUT 20 MINUTES TO DO BOTH. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE SILVER COATED BULBS TO GIVE THE ULTIMATE EFFECT.

Hello Everbody, nice day, Ive sorted the repeater indicator lights, my local store does LED repeaters in a variety of colours, I went for black, they look cool! They are oval and stick on, they are big enough to cover the hole and plug in to the extisting fitting although the earlier ones have to be connected but not difficult. Cost me £19.99. I think that Ive seen them in halfords.
Hope this helps (GS300)

I like the bit bout Halfords **** but only said that I thought that they where there, but these actually look pretty good, I think the stores are called A1 lots of them in South Essex but these LCDs must be all over the place.
PS if you want touch up sprays you can get that in Halfords mixed for you, try and get that at Lexus!
Will look at the others mentioned though, always willing to learn, have to at my age!

Just completed my first mod and it looks fine .Jac114 it was a lot easier than i thought it would be the only thing i would say is be carefull of the opening that holds the bulb housing it is made of weak plastic and when you put the pliers in to break up the orange reflecter it is easily damaged .Headlights were a pig to get out though
jac114
Aug 17 2003, 07:55 PM
How easy was it to actually remove the orange plastic around the edges... does it just fall away?
jac
mudzs
Aug 17 2003, 08:02 PM
Not realy you do have to use some force .It is realy just a case of grabbing it with the pliers and turning until it breaks into small enough peices to fit through the hole .I would have done it months ago if i knew it was this easy go for it ,it won,t take more than 20 mins but be carefull of opening as said above
jaybo
Aug 17 2003, 08:14 PM
jac
as mudzs said be very careful of the opening as all you have to is look at it wrong and you've damaged it
go 4 it mate but take your time. it'll look 100% better together with your new side repeaters
