Hi,
I bought my first Lexus last year, a `95 GS300 however the in-boot CD player doesn`t work. The radio and tape deck work fine when I load up the cartrdige with CD`s [it takes 12] and insert it into the player it seems to recognise they are there but when I try to play them nothing happens, not even an error message. I`ve scoured the internet for someone who can repair it but have so far drawn a blank. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution.
Cheers, Steve.

Welcome to LOC, good choice of car cool.gif

Are they genuine CD's or CDR's? Copied CD's are pretty iffy the majority of the time.

Hi,
I`ve tried them both ways and get the same result.

Other than getting a replacement changer, I can't see any other solution. Or changing to an after market headunit/changer, that's what I did just 'cos I wanted to hook up my ipod properly.

Hi,

Didn`t know there were aftermarket units available, please tell me more!

Sorry, what I meant was to basically put your own stereo in like I did in this thread, clicky. Not that straight forward but not too much of a headache either.
