hi there , anybody no how easy it is to change pollen filter on is200 2001

Pull the glove box down and its behing there

To get to it, open the glovebox, reach in and pull the sides of the glovebox inwards and the glovebox will now flow down on it's hinges.
The filter in directly behind, use a small screwdriver to losen off the cover. Replace the new filter the same way it was fitted and refit
the cover. 5 min job

Can the filter cause the air con to smell slightly when being used?

Yes..its probably blocked with bacteria.
