Hey guys,
I am looking to by the Lexus IS200, to be more specific Toyota Altezza RS200 - 6 speed manual. And I had a few questions:
How much would I expect from a tank of gas?
I drive some 650km a week, 600 of them being on the empty motorway. I guess the 6-speed should be relitively economical?

The cd player, can it be changed? How does it look? I heard it is a huge problem to change it, and looks quite bad if one does change it.
Does the RS come with and LSD?
What about TC and CC?

The car is as heavy if not heavier than a 300zx, how does it handle? Is it under-powered compared to a 300zx n/a?

What are the positives? What are the negitives?

What are common problems?
What should I look for when buying?

Anything anyone could add would be great.
Cheers.

Hello and welcome to the club matey biggrin.gif

Not sure on the fuel side of the rs200 but they do seem to move very well for the size of the car? The cd player can be changed as a few of the Altezza owners have changed the oem headunit that i know or you could have a look at DJ WOZZA's write up on changing the system over his is an IS200 though but cant see there being a lot of of difference to the Altezza setup? and WOZZA can maybe help you out on the basics of doing a swap over if you ask him as he's a very nice chap smile.gif

Cant really compare it to a 300z as there completly different types of car (ie 3ltr twin turbo compared to a 2ltr NA car) unless you can find an Altezza with a turbo/ supercharger fitted? not sure on the trc or LSD on the RS200 as i own an IS200 but the basics are very good, best thing to do is go out and have a drive of an RS200 if you can find one and see what you think..

Enjoy the club matey biggrin.gif
