Hello,

presume in not the first to ask this but could not find it anywhere, how do i tighten my handbrake cable as it only holds the car when iv got it fully up and presume it should be biting after 1 or 2 clicks then solid on the 3rd. am i right. quite new to it all but keen to learn. any help would be appreciated.

hi there i did mine on monday if you lift the leather cover off the handbrake theres 2 bolts(on mine 1 gold colour and 1 black) at the bottom of the cable and just turn the last one(gold colour) until your happy,but i believe its between 5 and 8 clicks mines on 5 max and thats more than enough

just done mine. took me 30secs. and at this time of night aswell. easiest job ive ever done. lol

had mine tightened in service,now my hand break light comes on,checked fluids etc is the hand break light switch near these two nuts? could the switch be faulty??
