I was checking out the lead on ebat that bypasses the stock amp when using an aftermarket HU and just wanted to know if the Satnav will still work... This was the response i got from the ebay sell...

Our understanding is that the lexus sat nav will still work but the sound from it plugs in to the factory headunit so using our lead you will lose this.
There is a guy on the lexus owners club who sells a lead to get round this problem but we have not tried it personally.

Fargo has made his own sat nav regain module for those who want the sat-nav to work with an aftermaket head unit.
It is for sale on ebay search for navigation bypass and you should find it. fitted along with the bypass lead (also from ebay)
you will have a fully functioning Sat-Nav system again including voice (if installed correctly).

Anyways I'm in south london so not too far if you need a hand.

the guy who sells the AMP bypass lead does NOT allow the nav to work, i know this as i have fitted my module to people who have had his lead. in fact i did one last sunday. the amp bypass DOES give you an ISO connector.

my module plugs in seperatly (sp) to the above and DOES allow the nav to work, but is not an ISO connector.

So to get the easiest solution to fitting an aftermarket HU when you have nav, get both leads and plug and play in 20 mins tops.
