Hello! just joined the forum, finally got a Lexus IS 200 SE after years of wanting! Its on W plate, high mileage but looks good!! I bought it at an auction, and it came with no manual or history?! So! Im going to do a few searches on here...and then probably bombard you all with questions!

First move if the car is high mileage and no history is get the cam belt done.

You might be able to find out more about your service history from a Lexus dealer think you just have to give them your VIN number and they can find out if its been serviced by the lexus dealer network?

Thanks for the welcomes guys! Actually I was going to contact Lexus main office to see if they could check the history (honestly!) I reckon it must have some history! but!!! as I got it from an auction maybe it was a repo, or something similar! so there may be some history somewhere! its just a case of seeing whats been done! Hence the cam-belt change! I want to check first (if I can of course!) as maybe it has been changed already! Thanks again!
