Basically 1 of my discs maybe warped...car wobbles when braking and at steady 70mph etc

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:X:RTQ:GB:1123

pads are mintex

discs are abtex.

are these good? over counter price is £60! for a set of 2 fronts

The mintex pads are very good and never had any problems with them not sure on the discs though as not heard of them? Have dealt with the seller a couple of times and has never let me down and the price is good for a disc/pads setup biggrin.gif

Not sure if the discs & pads are the same between the Mk1 and Mk2's. The ebay link is for the JZS160 (Mk2) not the JZS147 (Mk1), yours is a Mk1.
aztecbandit1
Are these for the mk1 Tigerfish? CLICK ME looking at the part numbers there the same for mk1 and the mk2?
TigerFish
Looks like they are the same then mate so the jobs a good 'un smile.gif

cheers guys! going to a mechanic 2nite to see if tracking can be sorted or if he thinks its the brake warped

kwikfit said its the brakes when it was on rolling road

Make sure the nuts are done up in the correct sequence, or you'll warp the next ones as well. 1-3-5-2-4 not 1-2-3-4-5.

MK1 MK 2 same............

FWIW never buy cheap brakes/pads

Its your life if they fail...............

Hey! I think this is bottom ball joints, and your problem too. My discs and pads are perfect (new) and I get the 70-60mph wobble thing... it's ball-joints and/or other links. This is typical.

Discs just made mine *slightly* better, but no fix.

Could well be true. At that age, the bushes around the car are likely to be worn, particularly the fronts.

Can get genuine Lexus disc for £80! Is this a good price? Delivered free as well. But I think it is ball joints as well, the car creaks alot when turning slowly but brakes will have to be changed as well.

I have had a quote of £90 per ball joint supplied and fitted...this maybe re-con though? will have to go see them.

What u think?
Anuj
Change that to £65 per disc and also ball joints are £65 each fitted plus VAT. Just waiting to find out if they are genuine Lexus or if they are just re-coned etc!

Nice price on the Balljoints fitted.
